On June 15th, 2023, the FBI Columbia CAAA participated in a one mile walk to raise awareness for elder abuse sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Social Services. In remarks presented by Attorney General Alan Wilson, anyone with suspicions of possible senior financial exploitation is encouraged to contact the Securities Division of the Attorney General's Office by calling 803-734-9916.

The FBI Columbia Citizen's Academy Alumni Association (CAAA) is working in partnership with the FBI to support and promote community initiatives that are aimed at keeping our neighborhoods safe as well as helping those in need.
One of the most important community initiatives the FBI Columbia CAAA is involved in is working to combat elder fraud, which is a growing problem in the United States. Educational programs and outreach is being established to help seniors recognize and avoid scams.
Important community initiatives include our USO Water Donation, National Night Out, FBI Columbia Mentoring Program Kickoff, and International Festival.
Be a part of the FBI Columbia CAAA and let's make a difference in our communities!
